Approach

Three concepts, one attitude.

My work is guided by three convictions that shape how I approach people, businesses and growth.

You're only as pretty as you treat people. My guiding principle

Beauty in business does not come from the facade but from how people are treated. Clients, team members, partners and the product itself.

Only hospitality and genuine care for the client and their product lead to success that lasts. Everything else is short lived.

HafawahDivine hospitality

Hafawah is Arabic and describes the warm, generous welcome of a guest. A student from Saudi Arabia once explained the concept to me: nomadic peoples offered strangers on their way to Mecca shelter, food and warmth, asking nothing in return, so the traveller could reach their destination as easily as possible.

To me this is the deepest form of hospitality there is. It springs from divine love and from love for the guest. The host is not the centre; the path of the other is.

This is exactly how I work with my team, with stakeholders and with clients. Whoever comes to me is on a journey. My task is to make that journey lighter. On this foundation I have served clients successfully for more than eight years.

Before we judge the tree.Patience, faith and room to grow

A fig tree in a vineyard has borne no fruit for three years. The owner wants it cut down. The gardener asks for another year, offering to loosen and fertilise the soil. He stands up for the tree and takes responsibility for its care. Whether it will bear fruit remains open.

For my work, this raises an important question: have the people, the idea or the business had the conditions they need to grow? Roots, confidence and new perspectives often develop long before results become visible. They need time, space, care and sometimes simply someone who continues to believe in them.

For me, patience means actively creating that space. Listening, preparing the ground, removing obstacles, encouraging and challenging. Faith in growth is expressed through the attention and care we give it.

The need for results remains legitimate. As a sparring partner, I help people work with that pressure, agree clear next steps and assess progress together. In teaching and in working with businesses, I get to be one of those gardeners for a period of their lives.

Parable from Luke 13:6–9, retold in my own words.

How I work.

Listen before planning

The first step is always understanding. Where the business stands, where it wants to go, what is in the way.

Architecture before decoration

Structure, model and positioning are built before anything is designed. Beauty follows substance.

Through to delivery

A concept is only finished when it works in the everyday life of the business. That is why my team and I stay on board until then.

You're only as pretty as you treat people.

Hospitality is not a service, it is an attitude. Only genuine care for the client and for their product leads to success that endures. This conviction is the foundation of my work.
